Queens
Chess-board logic, two ways to outsmart the grid
About the game
Queens takes the classic n-queens constraint and colours it. Each region on the board gets exactly one queen, and no two queens may share a row, a column or a diagonal. The rules fit in a sentence; the boards do not.
Knights mode reuses the same grid with knight movement instead, which quietly rewires how you read a position. It is the same puzzle surface asking a different question — no new system to learn, an entirely new solve.
It is deliberately unhurried: no timers pushing you, no lives gating you. The design target was the puzzle you open on a coffee break and close having actually thought about something.

What makes it work
Queens mode
One queen per colour region, none of them crossing paths. Planning beats speed.
Knights mode
The same board under knight movement — familiar rules, a completely different solve.
No timers, no lives
Nothing rushes you and nothing locks you out. Think for as long as the board deserves.
Hand-checked boards
Every puzzle has exactly one solution and is reachable by deduction, never by guessing.
