About the game
No 3 in line! gives you a grid and a single rule: never leave three of the same colour in a row, a column or a diagonal. Every piece you place is safe on its own and dangerous in combination.
The tension builds by itself. Early moves are free, the middle game is a negotiation, and the endgame is a board where almost every remaining square is poisoned by something you did twenty moves ago.
It comes from a real combinatorial problem of the same name — the kind of maths puzzle that looks like a toy right up until you try to solve it.
